How does international registered shipping work?
I'm considering buying a couple of books from the US, and having it sent to Australia via registered/certified international mail. I was just wondering whether this would get delivered straight to my house or to the nearest post office? And what would happen if it does happened to be delivered to my house and I'm not there to sign the slip? Would it be better to just get regular international shipping? Looking around the internet for this has just gotten me more confused. Thanks.

- I also live in Australia, so I had this problem at one point. I wanted to buy different things from the US, but did some research and had a friend recommend a Parcel Forwarding company. Have you heard of Bongo International http://www.BongoUS.com? Bongo will set you up with a US address so that you can make purchases from US based online retailers…even if they don’t ship internationally. The biggest benefit is that you can make multiple purchases from different vendors and Bongo will consolidate them into one shipment for you. Trust me, it has saved me hundreds of dollars! Good luck!
